"I felt mislead at recruitment. I took into account the bonuses as part of my annual salary, as at my previous positions, I have never had any problem meeting bonus goals and did not anticipate having an issue meeting them here. What they failed to tell me was that in this company the factors that my bonus was based upon were all items that I had no control over at all. They were all arbitrarily assigned by corporate and were not under my direct control in order to affect one way or another. I do not control NOI for the building, for example. I'm used to my bonus being based on factors such as my survey results, voluntary turn over in my department, budget maintenance, etc. And have always achieved 80-100% quarterly. Resulting in payouts of over 3500$ each quarter. So, although open to other offers, the work life balance would need to be good and the entire package would need to sing to me. Because, I am worth it. I have made a substantial difference in every building I have taken on and I stick for the long haul."
