The company was founded in August of 1995 in a collaboration between Seith Neiman, Paul Bonderson and Kumar Malavalli, with input from Dave Banks and Paul Ramsay shortly after. By March 2009, the company had sold over 10 million of its SAN switches and has come to dominate the SAN switch market. It is now one of the foremost companies in the industry of networking hardware and software, with an annual revenue in the region of $2.2 billion.
