What do you like about working at Boeing Defense, Space & Security?

"I get out on time, pay is okay, they're patriotic."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you start a career in aerospace, it is very hard to get out, and you will be branded a lifer who can only do aerospace finance. Many of the people have been there for years in the same position, and it's hard to get promoted. You are also subject to the political whims of congress for your programs."

What don't you like about working at Boeing Defense, Space & Security?

"The work is boring and tedious, there is no room for promotion due to the downsizing of managers and higher levels, many of the managers are either technically good, but have zero personality or have some personality, but are completely incompetent at doing their job. Managers who are idiots never seem to get fired, they just get moved somewhere else, etc."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Put more money into R&D, get out and meet your workers more, get rid of the unions whenever possible, get rid of all the mandatory training, etc."
