"Bloomberg is the industry leader in providing financial market data, analytics, news, communication, and electronic trading to clients who are managing or overseeing assets. I worked for Bloomberg for over 28 years in three different locations and held many different positions. The culture of the firm is rooted in extremely hard work, with a huge focus on philanthropy and sustainability. The people who work at Bloomberg are the firm's biggest asset in their commitment and dedication to customer service and improving our products."
"Great company with amazing opportunities and resources"
"Great company to start right out of college, or to finish up your career. Bloomberg has a flat structure so opportunities for vertical growth are challenging but horizontal moves are common and encouraged. Being a private company the benefits are very solid (20 days off, free healthcare, 15% 401k match). Pay comp is slanted towards high salary/low bonus in sales (I.E. there is no commission and performance is a stack ranking - your best year could not get you paid more if your peers all had better years). Management is somewhat old-school - do not expect flexibility working from home. Remote work has always been frowned upon and the idea of flexible work is not found here. Overall, if you don't mind the traditional 8-5 job where you have to go into the office with a solid salary, would be worth applying!"
"Good experience in general, opportunity to grow professionally and to share knowledge with students."
"Working at Bloomberg has been a great experience. I have learned a lot about the company and have gained many client-facing skills due to the role being client-facing. I have learned how to maintain the client's expectations and how to adequately explain things in a way that I am always adding the most value possible to the client's experience. I am thankful for the opportunity to have been able to work at Bloomberg because it has allowed me to grow more in creating valuable relationships with clients."
"Excellent company, excellent leader!"
"The company treated employees very good overall and the atmosphere was very inviting. Some of the business strategies that I was exposed to however, were under par. The company focuses less on the overall well-being as a whole and instead has tunnel vision on smaller details in individual departments..."
"Mike for President!! Respect the man, respect the work, a benefit to the world."
"I worked for Bloomberg for more than 15 years in NY Headquarters. I built the business carrier anyway I like. They support the carrier path if you have skills and knowledge."
"I have worked in Bloomberg for over 20 years. The company is number one in the world for financial news and market data. This a very good company that takes care of its employees with lots of perks and incentives. Definitely a great place to raise children with various programs and activities designed for it."
"I have worked at Bloomberg Tradebook for 14 years, it was a fast-growing company with great management and great job opportunities. The business was recently sold to a large broker."
"Good luck. Good luck. Good luck. Good luck"
"Bloomberg is a great company to work for that offer their employees ability to continue to learn and grow. As an employee, you have the ability to define your own path within the company. The company's ethics and code of conduct are one of the best in the financial services industry."
"Although I did not realize it in the beginning, my job at Bloomberg allowed me to not only deepen my knowledge of financial concepts, but also to practice my interpersonal skills such as patience, team collaboration, and easy-to-understand communication. I was fortunate to work with coworkers who were willing to help each other and managers who helped find ways to help me succeed in the workspace."
"The job was good. The people there are very bright and well knowledgable about the work that they do. However there is a lot of politics involved. Too much inner tension that can affect the efficiency of work being done."
