"Work at Best Buy, you become their slave!"

What do you like about working at Best Buy?

"Nothing. Make sure if you work here in management that you ask to be highly compensated because you will not get a raise and they own you and your life. You will not have a life nor does Best Buy expect you to have a life outside of their stores. They own you. I have not shopped at Best Buy since and I never will again. Also my family and friends as a result stay away too. Thank goodness for Costco, Sam's Club and Wal-Mart. Hey did you see Wal-Mart's new cell phone section? Buy buy Best Buy."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you need to work for Best Buy and it is salary management, ask for every penny because you are giving your life away. I know of too many people who got divorced or were separated as a result of working as salary management."

What don't you like about working at Best Buy?

"Two faced. They say they support education and growth and development in the company, but if it alters your schedule in anyway forget about it. Want to get your MBA? Better be a supervisor, if you're lucky and not a salary manager."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If you want to retain the best and the brightest, allow them to further their education."

"Overall, very satisfied working for Best Buy. A company with values that I believe in and practice in my own personal life."

What do you like about working at Best Buy?

"I would have to say the heart of Best Buy: the employees. I enjoyed the daily interaction. Best Buy employees were like a second family to me. It was self gratifying for me to see many employees that I believed in, cared for and trusted to advance their careers with Best Buy. As a manager, knowing that I helped and played a small role in that development of my employees is very rewarding; and makes me proud to have had the opportunity to see them grow professionally and personally too."

What don't you like about working at Best Buy?

"There were no negatives. Whatever my personal problems were, I left those outside of work once I stepped foot inside of Best Buy. As a manager, it was my duty to create a fun, positive work environment for employees. The only one thing I disliked was the stress, but that comes with the territory of being in the position of power and authority. It was not Best Buy's fault, but it is understood that it is part of the retail grind, no matter what company you worked for."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My only advice or suggestion to Best Buy management is DO NOT change your philosophy; continue to be the VERY BEST, serve and give back to your community!"
