"While working at BASF, I can honestly say the company as a whole is a great place to work. The demands of a 24/7 operation in a Leadership role will take it's toll. The safety first mindset is second to none. The turnover rate of hourly staff was extremely challenging to keep experience in the facility which in turn really challenged the training program to sustain success. The turnover within the Sr Leadership Team also was very taxing. With each change, there were new ideas and expectations- most for the betterment of the company- but it also created inconsistency in achieving success."

"The Generaral Counsel is a mad man with no ethics"

"Fire all of them and start over with people that can do the job."

"More vacation time than your average company which is nice"

"The commute is bad, human resources are to be avoided, the vacation time is more than most companies, but you'll need it.. its just a job, nothing special."

What don't you like about working at BASF?

"The Human Resources is horrendous, they are not out for your best interest"

"More emphasis on employees and less on the numbers of the company"

"The Pay is good as is the 401K. Insurance is ok."

"Be a yes person and your hired. Keep it up after hired."

What don't you like about working at BASF?

"Off shift premium hasn't increased since 1995.Favoritism. Good ideas get shot down. Blue collar shift workers are looked down upon by management. High demand of our off time. Having to save vacation for the end of the year shut down really stinks."

"Every thing isn't roses as you'd like to believe. Wake up and really listen to what we have to say. Concrete changes not touchy feely change agent stuff."

"The investment committed to the growth of the business section I am working in."

"Was acquired in a company purchase and did not go through the interview process."

What don't you like about working at BASF?

"The large corporate structure that requires multiple silo decision making."

"Work on making it easier to get things processed, the multiple silo decision process could be improved."

"If you are lucky enough to have such a responsible position, don't take it lightly, do your very best to grow with the organization."

"The unfortunate buyout, when we were sold to Abbott Labs."

"Always consider that each person you direct is different and each of them are coming from another point of view. Be kind, consider their circumstances (family) and then encourage them to shine at work!"

"Hiring freeze for Admixtures in company -now hiring for sales"

"Don't give false pretense for postions that you will not hire as mentioned after 6months"

"Lovely company with a very good culture. The employees are well disciplined."

"Have to be courteous and point the answers exactly to the intent of the question."

"Currently am a Contractor and would like to seek a full time opportunity."

"More focus on Security as there are inconveniences as well as threats in this area. A proper risk management function has to be in place."

"Company is fantastic but the functional area requires a reorg."

"Run away. They promise more than they can give and oversell the roles."

What don't you like about working at BASF?

"My group is horrible. I was recuited hard to find out the role was way below my previous level."

"Clean out certain areas. It is clear many were promoted for doing a good job but are not good leaders. I'm surrounded by below average associates."
