"If you of a minority descent you should reconsider seeking employment at St. Barnabas. Even the human resources personnel was inconsiderate in the way she handled my paper work! I should have realized at that point of time that was not the right place to work. First impressions are lasting!!!"
What don't you like about working at Barnabas Health?
"There is blatant discriminatory behavior from management level . As a minority BSN-RN I was treated as if I just got of the boat. The tone of voice when spoken to was most times condescending and I was continuously made to feel like I was uneducated and not worthy of working in their hospital."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"CULTURAL SENSITIVITY!!! The hospital is only a few blocks from the urban population, which they act oblivious towards. That line of discrimination should not exist in this day and age....but it is very much alive in the walls and halls of St. Barnabas."

"I have worked for Barnabas Health for two and a half years. This is a great company to work for because it is one of the biggest healthcare employers in the state of New Jersey. However, from my perspective, it is very hard to move up or improve your career once you start at this company. They do not make it easy to grow your career goals."
