"Interesting projects on the cutting edge of MS technologies. Good mentorship when on project and great professional support from employees."

"New CEO seems more interested in maximizing the current quarters profit and thus his bonus at the expense of the company's future. Recent decisions mostly eliminate the competitive advantage Avanade had over the competition, this will cost in the end."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Refocus on what made Avanade the best implementer of MS technologies... the employees. Ultimately a consulting company only has one resource to sell, the people they put on a project. Removing the enticements that ensured employees stayed at Avanade will ultimately mean you have no better resources than any other consulting company."

"Maybe things got better, but when I was there they had no idea what was going on."

"The paycheck is the only thing that I liked about this company."

"Make sure your entire employment history can be verified. I worked for failed start-ups in the past and it almost cost me the position, because they could not verify my work history."

"You are treated like a machine, not a human being."

"Come out of the ivory tower and meet your employees."

"Pretty good company to work for. They support their engineer with mandatory training requirements. (That's a good thing!)"

"Avanade is a place for the politically savvy. If you cannot stomach playing politics daily to ensure your place then you should not work here.People are extremely two-faced and will eat their young to get ahead.If you do not have thick skin then do not bother working here. You must be prepared to work with people that will give you praise and play the game but will be the first to pass the buck should something go wrong.You must always CYA or you will get PIP'd and/or fired. No one will admit to any wrong doing.You do have the ability to work remotely 75% of the time if you are not traveling constantly.Most of your team you will never meet face to face as all teams come from all over the US and abroad."
