"At a time when the communication industry was only just forming, AT&T was at the top of the charts. The rewards (in the form of gifts and commissions) were great."

"Over time, every day was required. I worked every Saturday. Also, once you reach a certain pay scale, you are let go to make room for new hires at lower pay."

"Too much pressure from management to blow off customers without resolving all their issues on one call. Management was mostly unavailable to take escalations, and some openly resented taking valid ones.The addition of multiple requirements (per call) over the years made it impossible to meet management's statistical expectations and unrealistic goals."

"Emphasize one-call, final resolution of customer issues (rather than just building more call centers to handle the increased call volumes)."
