"Be honest about your abilities and shortcomings. The majority of your training is on the job, so don't feel bad if you don't meet all of the written qualifications. If you express a sincere desire to work and are willing to learn, you'll be just fine."
What don't you like about working at Burlington Coat Factory?
"The micro-management from the corporate/regional levels. They have us on such a short leash, it's unbelievable. The store managers are not allowed to run their stores. Everything we do is dictated to us and we'd better not deviate from policy, otherwise we risk losing our jobs. The cookie-cutter approach is not reasonable."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Store management is great. Corporate management needs to test the talents of its store managers and give them some flexibility to run their stores according to their markets. Every store is different."

"I liked the joy it brought customers. When they came to our store and found out how easy it was. To get rims and tires for their vehicle."

"Just be honest and be yourself. It's a good company with a lot of growth."

"None at all. The Managers I had the honor to work with were all great. I learned a lot of useful techniques, and methods I still use to this day."

"While working with American Eagle Oufitters I was fortunate to work with several different stores and observe their business habits. My favorite experience was the store morale while at the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware store."

What don't you like about working at American Eagle Outfitters?
"While working at American Eagle I did not enjoy my experience from the Dover, Delaware store. The petty and unprofessional atmosphere of the store and the lack of work ethic from other employees was not a conducive working enviroment for a thriving business."

"As former member of management with this company I found the best advice to be the best customer service representative on the sales and others will follow a great leader."

"It always had you on the go. It was exciting working with customers and meeting there needs."

"Be yourself anfd be honest. Therefore if you are hired you know you will be able to handle to job based on your experience and not a lie.."

"The unsteady work schedule. The work schedule changed from week to week so it made it hard to plan outside activities."

"To work with your employees. They are human and have emotions and need encouragement and feedback."
