"It's OK. Overrated, but it's OK to get a few years experience."

"Red tapes. Political. extremely difficult to get things done. Bad administration."

"Be open to what the faculty has to say. They probably know more about the subject than you do."

"I did not like the politics which encompassed some of the department decisions."

"Keep an open mind to new ideas and development trends of the healthcare industry."

"I got a nice office with a window and an excellent computer."

"If you are a single male and a minority then welcome to hell."
What don't you like about working at North Carolina State University?
"Everything else--I'd never been so unhappy in my life, and that was at the end of the first year."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don't lie to someone just bring them aboard--everything that I was told that specifically would not happen happened. Also first experiences are the most important--I arrived and for the first year got an administrative cold shoulder (couldn't even get my name spelled correctly) when word got out that I was unhappy and wanted to leave suddenly I'm showered with attention. I know what a token is."

"Excellent management style and very good work environment with modern technology."

"Excellent salary and benefit package, enough vacation time, and job security."

"There is nothing that I should describe as unsatisfactory because there in none."

"How to be more innovative in terms of obtaining external research grants."

"Opportunity to apply my abilities and change lives by helping to make dreams come true in their educational and career pursuits"

"I think anyone applying to AMC should be ready to work hard without expecting too much reward accompanying his/her effort, at least in the short run. Hopefully, it will work out eventually."

"Hard work is not compensated by the appropriate leadership and often ignored yet demanded."

"Management should show more even handness in dealing with all employees to promote cohesion and productive environment"

"I have a great working environment and lifestyle. I work with an organization that is supportive of change and growth. I have earned a lot of respect from my peers and management. The work is interesting and challenging. I am in a position to help a lot of people. It is close to home, but I get to travel occassionally."

"Honesty and integrity are the key. Make sure that the job you are applying for is the one that you will love. Follow the things you are pasionate about."

"The current budget crisis in the state is limiting the options for creating new programs"

"Keep doing what you are doing, but be sure to encourage collaboration during difficult times."

"My team members are creative and they have nice personality."

"The only disadvantage is that the pay is not high enough."

"If an employee is being asked to apply their unique talents, think through a challenge independently and contribute original work, they're more likely to enjoy their workday more than if they are bored."
