"Can be very stressful with Get It Done Now! Lack of planning lends it self to engineering having to work non paid overtime."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Train staff in project planning and on how to better work in teams with better communication."

"Travel, variety of projects and interaction with hourly and corporate personnel who understood the business and its demands. Branches welcomed my assistance.A lot of flexibility in resolving HR issues. Good legal support when needed."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you like field work or a position that affects field personnel, then you will enjoy the industrial cleaning business. If you want an 8 hour job, the industrial cleaning business is not what you want. If you like a fairly standard day, this is not a good industry for you."

What don't you like about working at Aquilex?

"Direct supervisor did not understand the complexity of the job nor did she care about the hours it required, which were very long. Saturday and Sunday work and 12 hour days were the norm for field HR work. She also had no understand of the business. A reasonable job schedule would have kept me there forever."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"No one should be promoted into a management position without some knowledge of the operational side of the business and spending some time out in the field. Seldom spending anytime out in the field does not give anyone the foundation for understanding the business nor to learn to appreciate how hard and under what difficult conditions must hourly employees work. If you don't feel for the employees (difficult work, long hours, inclement weather conditions, weird hours, etc.), you don't belong in management."
