"Be honest about your technical skills, Daktronics does offer training on their products."

"There is no work-life balance. Employees are expected to give 100% to work 100% of the time."

"Encourage work-life balance and give and take. If an employee works a holiday or weekend, allow flexibility when they need a few hours off."

"The people were very friendly, professional and helpful. It was the best job and the best paying job I ever had."

"Be prepared for an interview that lasts for several hours with different groups of people. In the IT group, I had to prepare a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation on a prior project."
What don't you like about working at Battelle?
"The fact that they do so much work for the government makes it painful when budgets contract and people get laid off."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Maybe management should be pared down during layoffs also, not just the rank and file."

"I do not feel there is much room for growth unless you have an established friendship with upper management."

"I would recommend they pay more attention to who and what's being done by employees ranked below them and reorganize accordingly."

"They had a systemic lack of motivation for quality engineering."

"Slow everything down and re-work all internal projects. They are not ready for prime time."

"Relax. As long as you can show that you will be a pleasant person to work with, you're bound to get the job."

"It is not a good place to work in some countries of the Middle East."

"Focus more on operations outside the USA. BHI lost a huge number of very talented staff in MENA countries because of how USA-centric it was in its leadership."
