API Developer at MathWorks
in Natick, MA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Great lifestyle company, but downright awful for anyone with significant experience."

What do you like about working at MathWorks?

"Fabulous work/life balance and truly great benefits. A very comfortable place to work. Really perfect for those new out of college or looking to settle down towards retirement."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"The interview process is extremely detailed and through. They really do expect well-rounded individuals, not just technically smart people."

What don't you like about working at MathWorks?

"The pay is good considering typical responsibilities, but there is a tremendously slow pace within the company. That so many of the current employees have been with the company for years there are few if any with serious outside experience. Really a poor choice for those coming in with significant experience."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None really. Most at the Mathworks truly enjoy working there and likely do not want to change a thing. Mathworks is clearly a very successful and stable company - hence most employees have been there for years and like what they have."
