"I have worked for A&P Technology for over 11 years and have yet to wake up not looking forward to going to work. I consider myself lucky to have an employer that truly cares about each and every employee with the same regard. A&P also has the most skilled employees in the industry and I feel they compensate everyone generously. While growing quickly, the company still has a "family" feel to it, making relationships much more personal and everyone more approachable. To me, this is one of things I enjoy most. If you get a job with A&P, cherish it because you won't find anything better out there."

"It amazes me how the family members and the people that are making really good money here are always defending this company. Yet when I talk with them privately, they complain and tear down the owner and this company. I understand that they don't want to lose their job for voicing their opinion. You are given no direction or guidance here. I have sat in on meetings where they want to get rid of good employees because they want new, young people in here where they don't use the insurance. They know how to use the system and eliminate people from making a career at this place. I know people who have been here for over 20 years and then all of a sudden they are just let go because they had multiple medical expenses that year. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this employer at all costs."

"Employee BEWARE of this employer. I have been here over 25 years and it has gone down hill drastically. It used to be a great place to work 20 years ago but HR has no backbone and will agree to fire people for no good reasons. I have had many of my good friends let go because they literally just rotate people in and out to get new people in here. It doesn't matter if you are a great employee or not. If you are not connected with family that works here you are more than likely going to be let go. HR knows that this is wrong but they do nothing about it. They let top management just have their way so that they aren't let go. Even our medical insurance keeps getting worse and worse. You never know who is going to get let go and it's not fun thinking that every month you work here. Most of the reviews on here are correct and yes they are accurate when the one person said that they are trying to save their reputation by putting positive reviews on here. It's a shame that the owner allows this kind of nonsense to continue here."

"I am employed by A&P Technology and plan to retire here. I've been in industry since the late 70's and I have never been more proud to work with a group of people as I am now. I can see how some people's world views gave rise to some of the negative reviews here. However, many seem rooted in expectations of A&P being something it's not. A&P Technology's is a growing company with a thin management structure. You do not move up through a standardized hierarchy but by earning responsibility and broadening your reach within the company. Success here is not defined by job titles. If you need a well-defined, static structure to be successful this is not the company for you. The team values a sense of urgency, obsessiveness with regard to giving customers what they need and want and assuming responsibility when you become aware of issues or opportunities. That does not end once someone else is made aware. Here, things do not "happen" to you nor are things "done" to you. Rather, you succeed by making things happen and doing things. The success of those efforts is defined by whether they help customers or help the team's future efforts. The freedom you experience working here has its price with that being self-reliance and continually helping others. The team values referrals from its members because those who succeed here tend to be associated with others who would do likewise. I came to A&P Technology 14 years ago in a lucky happenstance and felt so at home that I recommended several members of my family. It's been suggested that that's putting too many eggs in one basket but we think this is the right basket. The opportunities to learn, grow and make an impact are too rare and when you find them you need to act on them. I highly recommend A&P Technology as a career. I do not recommend it if you are more focused on needing a job, looking for temporary perch, or want to be told what to do, do it, collect your pay and call it a workweek."

"I have worked here for many years and have seen management treat their employees terribly. Most of the reviews on here are correct. I have talked with the I.T. department and they added some "good" reviews on here to save the companies reputation. It's a shame that I have seen this company get rid of good, honest people just because they are not favored or part of a family that works here. The nepotism is really bad here. I basically have a job here for life since my family works here but that doesn't mean I agree with what they do here. The V.P. of Development is too young and inexperienced. He makes horrible decisions that benefit nobody but then again his family if very close to the owner so it's no surprise he is in that position. Do yourself a favor and look for a better employer who will treat you more fairly."

"Be careful for the 5 star reviews here...Their I.T. department is trying to save the reputation of this company. I have managed here since August of 2016 and this company is not what it appears to be. Very dishonest and deceptive. I don't agree with how employees are treated and how they let people go for no good reason. I have seen the worst nepotism in a company that one can imagine. There are countless reasons I can give you not to work here. The other reviews that talk about how great it is to work here is because they are protected by the correct people so they can survive. The employees do not have a voice and never will with the way they manage here. The insurance is the worst insurance I have ever had from an employer. I am only speaking out now because I am looking for new employment elsewhere. They thrive on the young people who just don't know any better. If you decide to work here, more than likely, they will let you go for no reason. One of the reasons they have you sign an "At Will" agreement every year. So they can remind you of that....STAY AWAY FROM THIS EMPLOYER. MUCH BETTER EMPLOYERS OUT THERE!!"

"I'm not sure why people feel compelled to post something negative about A&P and its employees. I'm guessing they just weren't a good fit. I have worked at A&P for over 20 years and still have nothing but good things to say about our company. I am not related to anyone nor did I go to school with any of Pam's (COO) kids. However, I work very closely with all of the employees referred to in previous posts and agree 100% with the positions they have been awarded. These individuals are smart, hard working, motivated and dedicated people. I believe the current structure of our company is what we need to get us through these troublesome times. I guess I'm one of the "Middle Age Karen's" to whom the post is referring. However, I am very happy with my life so I take offense to that comment. I am very fortunate in that I do not have to work, I choose to work and I choose A&P. I'm posting this because I feel that our company or people don't get the credit they deserve and we here at A&P wish the one who are no longer with us the best of luck in the future."

"Unfortunately, this site seems to be visited only by employees who have been fired, so the reviews are skewed. A&P is a wonderful place to work evidenced by the tenure of its employees - 12 year average with many at 20+ years. The owner and COO have worked tirelessly to make A&P a happy, satisfying place to work and to keep A&P at the forefront of composite material technology. Employees are given the freedom to explore different areas within the company to find the right fit and everyone is allowed input as to suggestions for continuous improvement. I cannot imagine not being happy here - A&P is full of smart, creative hard workers."

"The reviews on here are half right. While this company is def sketchy and has all the aspects of a small business, while being relatively large, it’s not the worst place to work for if you can keep your head down and just do your job.... but even if you do that too much, it may rub someone the wrong way. Leadership here: it’s very hit or miss. There’s maybe 2-3 supervisors here that are worth anything, the rest are just close to Pam(president) or went to school with her kids. All of which are incompetent. This place is the very definition of nepotism. Middle aged Karens: this place is filled with em. Bunch of middle aged women who are just miserable with their lives so they set out to make yours miserable as well, and worse yet, because they’re tattle tales and complain about anything they can, management tolerates it and even welcomes it to make up for their own incompetency. Worried about getting fired weekly: yep, you hear stories of why people were fired and think to yourself “surely there has to be more to the story” and worse yet, you can and will be fired if the wrong few people dislike you (the “chosen” Managers, who were ***shitty*** workers, but now have to make up for it because they’re management) Very very VERY low morale: mostly due to all the above, but also gossip, lack of any kind of leadership whatsoever, etc Onto the good Compensation: you get paid well for what you do(unfortunately dealing with the Game of Thrones type atmosphere barely makes it worth it) Owner: he’s a badass and seems like a genuinely good dude, but seems too far removed from the culture at this point. Overall I think a 2.5 is a good rating. Take the warnings from the reviews seriously because they are dead on. This is a cut throat company that does not care about their employees like most companies do. So do not rely on this company long term and for financial security... see it as a means to an end. You WILL be fired from here. Period."

"I have been in this industry for over 22 years. I have worked for similar companies in my past. This company is the worst company I have ever worked for. The way the owner runs the company is not in a way that shows that he values the employees and that trickles down to his management staff. They get rid of people who do great work just to keep a revolving door open. They feel if they keep the same people the company will become idle and not grow, so by bringing new people in there, new ideas will come. How does this show that they appreciate their employees. I have seen some really good people get let go just because of this reason. If you have family that works there you will have a job for life. Nepotism is really bad there, actually the worst I have ever seen in all my years in the industry. The medical insurance is absolutely terrible. They think it is good or at least tell the work force it is good but $1000/month for medical insurance that most employers have their employees only pay out around $300/month is not showing appreciation. Especially for how much they brag about how much money the company makes. They put very young inexperienced friends into management positions who have no experience and have favorites. If you are looking for a great company that appreciates their employees and treats you the right way then look elsewhere. Their moto there is "Our culture is different here". It is not a culture that most people who have worked for a good employer would say is good. If you are looking for long term employment, look some where else. I am trying to help as many people I can from being blindsided from this company. Beware of the other reviews that say this is a good company to work for. That is management trying to recover from all the bad reviews on here. They know it is a problem because of the high turnover. Hope this helps anyone out there who is looking for a good company to work for."

"I have worked for this company for over 15 years. I have seen management here treat employees terrible time and time again. I am one of the few who have no family members that work here. I am only here because I am good friends with other people in management. Management here gets rid of people for no reason at all. They make you sign an "At Will" agreement every year to remind you that your job here is not secure. I have seen them get rid of GREAT employees time and time again. Other people in management are trying to save the company reputation by putting 5 star reviews on here but those are complete lies. I am only writing this review to warn people because there are good people out there that need good secure jobs and this company will let you down. I don't agree with much of what they do but, continue to work here until I find another job. If you are a single mother you do not want this insurance either. You have to pay close to $1000/month for a PPO insurance which isn't very good either. The deductibles are extremely high as well. If you have family that works here then you will be safe. If you don't then you will probably will be let go within a couple of years. Look for a good company that will value you and your family."
