"Find another backup. Your experience does not guarantee you a position. To stay around, expect to do some kissing up to or be kissed up to."

"I disliked cliques, favoritism, and the mindset of the higher management. If you were not in their face, they could not see a person's potential. If one likes you, everybody likes you."

"Management needs to be able to see a person's goals and ENCOURAGE them, not push them to the side. Respect differences and learn to benefit from them."

"I was, for the most part, left alone to handle my duties."

"Know the limitations of Aon and what the career offers. It's a solid environment for stability. However, if you care to advance or make better than average money, you may find yourself wanting down the road."
What don't you like about working at Aon?
"The job wasn't challenging. I was given clients to handle calculations for, that were too small to constitute filling my day. It was also made very clear to me that, although I was hired as a project manager and calculations specialist, my career would not be able to move forward unless I became an actuary."

"Keep your employees engaged, and make sure they have career goals to help with said engagement. Being left without enough work to do and no opportunity to move forward is the quickest way to lose bright, ambitious talent."

"I liked the variety of claims and the coworkers. The job itself was enjoyable and challenging, and the atmosphere with my coworkers was one of quiet strength."

"Make certain that you never get sick or hurt, or have members of your family sick or hurt, or you will be out the door."
What don't you like about working at Aon?
"I didn't like the dependability. I had a serious injury, and after my husband and my son had been hospitalized, that was apparently the third strike against me, and they let me go despite the fact that I had the highest quality rating in the department."

"Judge the performance of the work, and not your opinion of the performer. It is better to have spectacular work most of the time, than have average work all of the time."

"I like the people. I like the exposure to different areas, building relationships with bankers, and the opportunity to try different things."
