"Now is not the time to join AOL since it was announced 1/3 the staff will be let go. When the business is back on its feet I would urge people to assist new management and current employees as they make AOL into what it used to be - a fun place to be."

"The merger with TWX brought an end to much of what made AOL great. New media was held down by old media and members hated the result. AOL became a stock first and a content company second. My belief is that if you put out a good product the business will develop, Management believed you make the sale first and then create the product."
