The company handles the daily operations of one of the largest utility companies in the country with a focus on residents living in Pennsylvania. In addition to the main Pennsylvania company, Allegheny Energy handles the needs of residents in Virginia and other states through its three subsidiaries.

Allegheny Energy has its headquarters in Greenburg, Pennsylvania, but it also has distribution centers in West Virginia, Maryland and other regions of Pennsylvania. The company has more than one million customers, including more than 120,000 businesses, and more than 1,200 employees working in its Greenburg location alone.
