"I liked having the opportunity to help callers quit smoking."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would advise not interviewing for this company. Even in a bad economy, you can do better."

What don't you like about working at Alere?

"The stress that came from the instability mainly. Management was very cold. Employees are never praised and routinely threatened. PIPs are common. By the time I was fired, almost everyone I knew at the company had already been fired."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Retaining good employees makes more sense than firing everyone. It costs a lot to keep training people and things don't run as smoothly when people answering the phones and dealing with callers are new all the time. So quit firing older employees for technicalities and give capable new people a change to learn the job, rather than firing them."

"The working culture, result oriented, customer focused and team player."

What don't you like about working at Alere?

"I do not have any comment on this issue for the company."

"Just try to expand their vision and mission to reach out more state."
