"Cost of parking is excessive, annual evaluation process is based on whether supervisor likes you rather than actual performance, achievements, and contributions and has too much power over the annual % of salary increase. A supervisor can stop one's promotion opportunities into another position in a different dept."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Remove the cast system; those with terminal degrees are relatively untouchable when it comes to violation of EEO rules, use of grants funds. Remove the good 'ol boys mentality; if you're not part of the click you're professionally sunk. Review the excessive salary paid to the SOM - office of the Dean Director (over $103,000) for a glorified office manager. Also, this should be investigated for inappropriate use of budgeted increases for this position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would like to have suggested that management give us a tad bit more privacy in regards to our workspace. We had cubicles which were half glass and half material. I was distracted at times by my fellow co-workers congregating at a neighboring cubicle, sometimes making it difficult to fully understand a conversation with a client on the phone. It happens in all environments, I understand, but I can't find anything that I would take up with management, as they had all areas covered very well."
