"I liked the people and the excitement of when I got to work out of 45 days getting to search for the customer in more detail. I liked that part, skip tracing."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be on top of your game. The name of the game in collecting is getting the money, no matter how awful the customer talks to you. Do not ever let it get to you. Always be professional and get the money, get the money, and just that. All you are there to worry about is getting the money, not what they say or call you."

What don't you like about working at General Motors?

"Auto dialer sometimes got a little boring after a while. I wanted to be into more detail, but I still enjoyed it and was a top collector."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggest letting us experiment more with getting into the tracing of the deal, but I know that is not the 5-45 day part of their job."

"Due to it being a private company by a great family, advancement opportunities in sales are very limited."

What do you like about working at AT&T?

"When they were owned by Comcast Metrophone, the incentives were better in sales. I won a trip to Paris for yearly earnings of maintaining 128% of my quota for the year. SBC took that option away when they bought the company."

"Be honest and polite on your interview."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"It became a new company with a new structure when SBC bought Comcast Metrophone. There was too much change in incentives."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Have more opportunties for growth into management or growing into another field or department opposite sales."
