Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"As a child my grandfather once told me that you can't fail unless you quit and with great sacrifices come great rewards. I hold true to that to this day. Hard work and dedication is the biggest secret to success. With an industry like IT, there is always something to learn and with all the changes to the industry, keep learning and striving and rewarding future with follow."

What don't you like about working at WinCup?

"My biggest disappointment with Wincup was the lack of mid to high level professionals. If a problem occured, I had no one I could ask what to do, but rather needed to find the answer myself. This caused a lot of stress on me when a catastrophe occured. There was a time when a Raid Controller dropped on a Dell Poweredge 2650, Wincup's primary Exchange Server. Restoring the server proved to be a very difficult challenge as the backups for exchange had previously failed. After restoring the Server I was afforded the oppurtunity to attend Symantec's BackupExec I and II class and redesign the entire backup system for the company Nationwide. It was a grueling experience, but I learned a plethra of valuable information."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My biggest suggestion for Management, is that IT is not just an outcome. IT is an intrugral business partner for a business. According to CIO magazine, manufacturing companies put a total of 4% of their total revenue per year into IT. This usually causes a major loss in emergency action cost, while a small up front cost in preventive maintence could create a lot of cost savings per year. Fortune 500 companies put on average 25% of their revenue back into IT, causing their enterprises to be extremely flexible and allowing them to make 90 degree turns with their designs and technologies to implant nearly any type of technology to further help them cut cost and optimize profit."
