"I am constantly getting harrassed by another female employee. She pinned me down and groped me at a corporate event"

"I worked in the SMB QA department. This has been one of the best positions that I've had in my career and I have had some great ones. The only think that I think WD should do is to keep on a solid track of work process. Switching gears too much isn't good for business, employee relations or the reputation of a well oiled company."

"WD is very big. A lot depenends on manager of your particular team. I was very lucky. My manager was exceptional person and lead. People from other teams in the same departament wanted to move to our team (and some did). It seems like one common thing for Western Digital software is: very difficult to get raise/promotion. I consistently received good (Above Target or Significantly Above Target) marks during performance reviews, but only thanks to my manager's big efforts got raises (and not too impressive). WD has been economically solid and consistently paid insreased profit sharing during last 5 years."

"Western Digital is in a very competitive consumer industry. It has been my experience there that they make the employees very aware how little they will spend on their employees. Cost cutting at all times; with no support or provisions for expanding the work place. There are no corporate plans for modernization, each group is left to fend for themselves. XP and minimum memory are the norm, and no plans for development software upgrades. Even your work-station is recycled from someone else."

"I worked there over a year and my experience is mediocre at best. There are high expectations with limited resources. A lot of cooks in the kitchen so the projects are always difficult to meet deadlines. Very difficult to move up unless someone retires or quits, so the ceiling is set at manager level. Company preaches a positive work environment but the practice is 180 degrees."
