"Content is super creative, but the hours are long and sometimes unrewarding. You must love your job to remain happy working here. The people make it worth it."

"A solid company that values the Disney cache over compensating and titling its employees on par with competing studios. A very good choice for working mothers though."

"Excellent company; friendly team atmosphere. My bosses encouraged my career development and were receptive to my suggestions on work. They felt comfortable giving me increasing responsibilities and helped me with contacts within the company. The company itself has a management program and gives extensive career help."

What do you like about working at Walt Disney Company?

"The films and television shows in production lacked any sort of sustenance. The creativity was minimal and only existed to the extent of maintaining ad revenue. I hoped to be working for projects that contained vision and passion, but there wasn't much there."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Find another company to work for. There are plenty of production houses in Los Angeles. You don't have to settle."

What don't you like about working at Walt Disney Company?

"Ha, I guess I covered that in the last section. It was stagnant, with positions set in stone, and knowledge was suppressed."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Provide opportunities for better growth. The company had its hierarchy and it seemed to be set in stone. Knowledge was not shared, even hoarded at times, and thus the community was fractured. I would support and enforce more positive office interaction with an attempt to make the company more adhesive and coherent. I would minimize people who retain selfish, do anything to get ahead mentality and promote creativity on all levels of the company's existence."

"The company could be so much better and live up to its legacy."

What do you like about working at Walt Disney Company?

"I like the company legacy and the complimentary Silver Pass. That's it."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Make sure your boss is extremely competent and does his/her job, as the place is filled with lackluster leadership at nearly every level."

What don't you like about working at Walt Disney Company?

"Everything was about politics, even trivial politics. Everything was about perception, not truth, and it is a very gossipy and secretive culture where saying something unpopular or not agreed with by the masses is not viewed well at all. Also, good luck with work/life balance at Disney (especially the internet group). It doesn't exist, and the leadership only pays it lip service when it comes down to it."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The middle/upper management layer needs to be cleared out and replaced with competent, motivated, and involved leaders. The focus needs to be on doing great work and living up to the Disney name, not playing politics."
