"Working at the Vitamin Shoppe is dependant on one person, the store manager. If the SM is well versed and knowledgeable, then you will be taught correctly, and the job will be fun. Otherwise, if the SM is there only to be a manager and nothing more, then you will find yourself seeking other unemployment. Look at the store, shop in it. See how the employees react to you. Do they actively seek to help you? Did they welcome you? How are they recommending products? How are they helping you and other customers? All these questions should be in your mind when you scout out a position. When/if you are satisfied, then proceed to apply. I have worked at four different stores, and let me just say that you can tell what a good store is or isn't."
