"I work as a independent contractor for varsity tutors, mostly in computer science topics. So far I haven't had any conflicts with the company. The compensation is competitive and their online tutoring client gets the job done most of the time. There are a few limitations to the online client, there's no real built in support for programming, but there are workarounds. Unfortunately, there isn't always a steady stream of clients, but that's mostly due to the fact that most students are in college and don't seek tutoring while out of class. All and all, it's a nice company to work for."

"I have been working at Varsity tutors for a few months now, and I love it. The flexibility of setting your own hours, and the ability to vet in-person tutoring opportunities allow me to work as much I would like and with whom I like. I personally prefer the in-person opportunities to tutor because I feel like I can have more impact than over a webcam. Overall, I would recommend Varsity Tutors to anyone looking to make some extra income."
