Utilities International Employee

"The company creates niche software for the Utility sector. Most clients are already established and most work is upgrading client logic or incorporating new acquisitions. Traveling to the client (M-Th) is the norm and expecting. If you don't mind flying and staying in hotels for most of the year, you'll be fine. For the most part, you work with other people and you tend to form decent relationships with them. The pay structure is very odd though. You can make good money if you are on projects for most of the year. In short, you are guaranteed a base salary but can make more based on billing. Essentially, once you bill more than your monthly base salary you make a bonus. The catch is, if you're on the bench for a length of time, you get your salary but do not get your bonus until you make more than than the amount of salary you've received. It's odd, ask questions."
