"This is a tricky question. I do get paid rather well but I also work over 55 hours per week with no overtime pay (salary). So when you compare my pay to the basic electricians that work in the plant, the electricians will make more money annually because they are hourly and get overtime. Plus if you go into San Francisco the same position (competitors) pay almost $30k more simply because of location. Again I do get paid quite handsomely but I also do far more than most Process Engineers do. I've had 6 engineers turn down the position because it was too much work for one person."
