Working at US Interactive Media in Irvine, CA: 2 Employee Reviews

Account Executive

"Lack of resources such as not replacing team members that leave which leads to increased work and stress loads of existing staff. Socially awkward managers especially the President. Client Services Director has so much on her plate, that she could care less about what's going on with her team. Goes through the motions for appearances with the President, of a weekly one-on-one check-in that oftentimes gets rescheduled and by the time that you do meet with her, she's too glazed over from a combination of too much caffeine, too much stress on her plate, the wine flu, and simply not caring about what's going on with her team which is the reason why her team finds her useless and lacks any respect for her. The president over-promises to clients and when handing over an account, the teams are not able to deliver on his over-inflated projections that he's pitched the client to gain the business. He is constantly preaching how high the company's billings are however, he authorizes very low fee structures just to gain the business. When you don't hire people to support the volume of work, and don't increase salaries, that's an indication that the revenue that's being generated might be an inflation of imagination. When I was hired almost two-years ago, I replaced 1 of 3 people from my department that left. Within the last month and a half there were 4 people that left. Poor work/life balance. They encourage nightmare clients to take advantage. As an Account Executive, I was expected to be available at all times for my clients, however there was no recognition for the commitment that I made and after that became obvious, I decided to move on. Over the last 6-months, I have seen my co-workers frequently break down in tears, leave the company, constantly complain about the management, walk around like they've been defeated, and carry themselves with no enthusiasm."
