"The management was terrible and you felt watched all the time. I was there for only 3 months and was fired because I was telling the truth to a manager. it's a pretty long story, but, the manager ended up being fired for harrassment. I couldn't get my job back."

"The autonomy was a huge benefit. I also enjoyed that I had a direct influence over the entire sales floor."

"Unfortunately, the company went out of business July 2009. However it was a great opportunity for individuals with a positive attitude that love working in a team environment."

"Limited funds therefore limited resources."

"Need to tighten the bolts before expanding too quickly and speading management too thin."

"More than any other company I have worked, US Cellular defined their values. They consistently practiced what they preached and helped others to see that leading a company through clear and consistent values meant that not only were employees happy, but customers were too."

"Be genuine. They will tell and reject you if you try to mold yourself to what you think they are looking for. If you represent something you are not and manage to get hired, it will show quickly. They do not want perfection, they want real people who want to grow with the company."

"From time to time you would find that the values became rote and that employees from frontline to leadership needed to be reminded that the values & behaviors are not static - they must continually be defined and matched."

"Be honest with your team. If they make a mistake, call attention to it immediately - they want to grow as much as you want them to. Shying away from hard conversations only makes them harder in the long run."
