"When I started at Palantir, the workload was more fitting the description of a level I Systems Admin, and I had a hard time finding a good balance of satisfaction doing that kind of work. Ultimately, things improved greatly and my responsibilities more closely fit the title, but unfortunately I was let go before I really got into my stride. I miss the team I worked with, as each member was uniquely competent and a genuine pleasure to work with."

"positive attitude goes a long ways, enthusiasm and desire to do something new can make up for lack of experience"

"very poor managment of resources, 3-5 year old laptops (at best), double standards between managers and teams concerning working remote."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They need to better manage their assets; full time employees, contractors and support contracts -- to name a few."

"The politics and failure by management to adhere to any sort of protocol."

"Define a policy and keep to it instead of allowing everyone to dictate to them. Which provides an unsustainable environment."

"Search for other companies first, 10 years ago this was a pretty good company to work for."

"The culture and moral of the company - touch to work when you're continuously worried about getting laid off."

"Less manages, more workers - with all the layoffs the workload is getting to be to much."
