"Good for you to fit the profile that UW wants. I did not fit that profile. Maybe you will have a better chance. But don't sleep, keep your eyes open at all times, and protect yourself at all times."

"The overt institutionalized bigotry, racism and undercurrent of exclusion of people who were viewed as outsiders from the cultural norm. There was no onboarding process introducing newcomers to the industrial complex of the UW. Also, there were fiefdoms and assumed hierarchies, making it difficult for newcomers to be welcomed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"It would take a disaster at the UW for any effective changes to be made and the Washington State Government would have to impose these changes. Yes, it is that bad!"
