"The faculty position offers excellent collaborative opportunities a high level of independance and good support from mentors."

"Public sector jobs are not competative in compenstation with the private sector but several perks make up for some of the discrepancy. Rewards need to come from the outcomes of your work (teaching, research, patient care, etc.) here beyond financial compensation alone."

What don't you like about working at University of Washington?

"Budgetary constratings working in the public sector limit opportuinities for progress and create unnessisary stress for technical and administrative workers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"This is difficult to know. The current funding climate restricts the options open to leadership."
