"No direction provided by upper management for how they wanted their new division to work. Their expectations were not realistic for a startup, especially when this was made clear to them before an offer of employment was ever made."

"Don't hire people to do a job if you're not willing to let them do it their way in order for it to succeed. Sit down and put in writing what your expectations are and what you feel sales goals should be instead of blindsiding them."
