United Helpers Employee

"I've worked for United Helpers since January of 2020. United Helpers is a company that was originally founded in 1898 by a group of four women who provided care for orphaned children. Since then, United Helpers now hosts a number of long-term care facilities for the elderly and disabled all throughout Upstate New York. We have roughly 1000 employees that live anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours away. I work in the Front Office of the Management Building. The Management Building comprises of roughly 35 employees, which includes the CEO, HR Department Manager, VP of Finances, Staff Accountants, Payroll Managers, and more. Basically, all of the higher positions are located within the building I work at. The Front Office includes myself and one other co-worker who works in Corporate Compliance. Day to day, the Front Office can be quite busy and so it is difficult to stay on task. There are constantly employees in and out of the office to exchange their mail. We handle all visitors at the door and have to screen them before they may enter. I process job applications all day long, meanwhile, making sure we are following the correct fingerprinting procedure. My boss is the Human Resources Department Manager, whom I have a fantastic relationship with. She is very personable, charismatic, and dedicated to protecting her employees. I never have felt uncomfortable in her presence or with any decision she has made involving myself. She allows me to use my paid time off with no issues at all. My co-workers are very personable as well and never have I felt unwelcome since I started working here. The building environment, as a whole, is an open environment with little to no judgement. I overall enjoy working for United Helpers Management Company."
