Working at United Fertilizer Chemical in Irvine, CA: 2 Employee Reviews

Director of Sales

"I have been In Sales and Marketing most of my adult life. I went from cold calling out of college, to an International Sales Director, sending industrial elements to companies around the World. I have led teams of 5 to 100 from manufacturing, IT, cosmetics to media communication, television companies as well as radio sales. I have reached the Apex of expertise in my field and come with a Rolex Rolodex. I am excited for new challenges ahead. My favorite work place is fast passed with great think tanks. That’s where I’m happiest."

United Fertilizer Chemical Employee

"I worked for United Fertilizer Chemical for 2 years. I found the management a disaster. There was no structure between logistics, distribution, sales or marketing. It was the most incredible disorganization I have a witness in 20 plus years of Sales and Marketing. I, with another colleague, developed all the different departments needed to structure a working system within the company. With that process, I learned about customs, distribution on a huge scale, delivery and logistics. I had to even form a website and a LinkedIn profile. My public relations skills came in handy when trying to change the status quo. There were those frightened to go against the employers, whose native language was Mandarin. Very little English was spoken between employers and employees. Unfortunately, the language barrier became a real problem. It was a mess. But we got it running. Once results came in, the powers that be were naturally thrilled. My colleague and I were exhausted and not well compensated for all the work we did."
