"The work was challenging, but recruiters and employers do not value someone who worked for a labor union. Many companies still go out of their way to avoid unions and those that do have unions tend to fight with labor instead of collaborate. I enjoyed working for social and economic justice and wish more companies would value the skills I developed while working as a labor union representative. If a company would give me a chance, I believe my experience would be valuable."
