"Union Pacific is going through reductions in employee numbers, as well as on equipment, infrastructure, and other cost savings measures in order to provide bonuses to the top executives. While the shareholders currently love it, it is not sustainable, and will end poorly. With 4 generations at UP, including some of the top executive positions, I believe this will have dire consequences for the communities served by rail."
