Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I think others would be disappointed in me if I referred them to this company. HSBC hired me for a position in their Wooddale location two days after I already started with Coverdell, all benefits were better with HSBC even the start off pay was $40.00 more a day however, the schedule did not work with me caring for my ill mother at that time. The hours at Coverdell were perfect for me and my family for that time."

What don't you like about working at Unicare?

"I didn't like the shortsightedness of selling jobs overseas. I didn't like that until very shortly before the reduction in force of 2004 there was no inhouse training for other positions available. I didn't like the reduction in force that put me out of work for 20 months. (My opinion is that selling the jobs overseas starting in 2004 cost the company customers and stock value. The former because the new workers did not speak the quality of English that customers were used to, and the latter because all the former employees had to sell their stock for living expenses."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I still have friends at UniCare, and they are all extremely nervous (at best) about job security. Times are hard out here. Please be aware that the fewer employees to be managed that there are, the fewer managers that are needed. Your job might be next on the auction block!"
