"I have worked at UCLA as a postdoc for one year. The university is devoted to make higher education available to as many people as possible, which is a great purpose. The research facility is great, which helps push forward research achievement. There are plenty of research collaboration within the community, which means you will never get bored and you will always be learning and improving."

"I've worked at UCLA for 6 years as a graduate student researcher in the computer science department. My work is on applying machine learning and statistics to biological data sets. When I came to UCLA, I was awed by the sheer number of people working on bioinformatics problems. The community is something that I have benefited from greatly throughout my graduate school career. No matter what subfield of bioinformatics you are interested in, there are many people to work and collaborate with. I've truly enjoyed learning and growing as a scientist at UCLA."
