"I've worked for Professor Lukas Chrostowski as a Software Research Engineer at UBC's Department of Computer/Electrical Engineering and I learned so much about silicon photonics. The projects that we worked on were insightful and the people that I worked with were willing to assist with any problems I had. I would definitely recommend working under Lukas as a researcher because of his passion for the industry and his keen willingness to share his knowledge with others!"

"I've worked at UBC Okanagan for nearly 2 years as well as also been a student here for my BSc in Biochemistry. Is it an excellent place to learn and evolve as you want. People are very collaborative and willing to help you if they can. The one drawback is the pace of the workplace. Paperwork or getting things done promptly can test one's patience here."
