Delivery Driver

"I am a professional driver/warehouse manager with over 20 years experience. Trillium offered me a position with a company as a driver warehouse and I was an immediate fit. After my 3rd week I got a call saying that because the trucks at my last position were not plated as class B, (even though there was no difference between the class B and E other than the plates) I was told I would have to leave the position unless the company would like to hire me direct. They did so immediately, they had me fill out paperwork same day (this is unusual as they never hire anyone until 90 days). The next day they tried to slap the company with a $3,000 bill for hiring me, the same employee they did not want the day before! So now I cannot work there. The company is upset and will no longer use them (they have many multiple warehouses across the country, none of which will use them ever again) and I would not now work for them if they were the last company on earth. What bad customer and employee relations. Now they get nothing, they gain nothing but bad blood, and they tuned a happy customer and grateful employee into nothing but a lot of bad blood for absolutely no gain. How short sighted. Avoid working with this company at all costs, they have no sense of customer service or common sense."

"I was contracted to DENSO by Trillium. I was brought to DENSO by DENSO's HR from an on-campus recruiting event back when I was in school. In the end, they told me everyone has to be on contract by Trillium to start. The thing they didn't tell me was that for immigrants you have to stay with Trillium for four or five years (until you use up all your OPT and H1B) to get to direct hire. So that was part of the reason I decided to leave DENSO and Trillium after about 2 years. Here comes the problem that I want to warn every immigrant. Now my current employer wants to apply for a green card for me and needs my old employer to sign a letter of employment confirmation to verify my work experience. It has to be signed by my legal employer (Trillium). I'll give you a summary here of the 7 months of fighting: Trillium says I was working at DENSO so they can't verify my experience gained so they can't sign the letter, DENSO says they can't sign anything because I was not a DENSO employee. Due to character limits, I can't type all the details. But please check other sites for details if needed. I am not making any of these up, I have all the emails as proof. I am just thinking by sharing this that I might be able to help somebody in the future. So for anyone considering joining DENSO with Trillium, just know what you are getting into. My advice is to leave as soon as possible. If you choose to work with them, maybe try to get them to sign something before you join, or just stay with them for a long time and hope another economic crisis doesn't come and leave you, as a contractor, laid off during that time. I wish you the best of luck."
