"A fun, interactive side job."
"This company is very proud of their work and has a real ground up mentality. Most people here have worked her for a long time. Almost everything from distribution to supporting apps starts all in Kearney Nebraska. The company is a no debt company and as such most projects are ran very lean. This can lead to crazy work days while supporting projects but it also gives teams some say in the direction they want to take their apps."
"It was a fun job. Retail always is. Its a job I had in coillege."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I loved the company's standards."
"I absolutely love Buckle as a company. I had an amazing training experience and feel that they are the best retailer to work for. Buckle drives people toward success and does a ton of continuous training. However, I feel that my experience there pigeonholed me to the retail industry. In my experience, District Managers across the company are very different and have different expectations, no matter the company's focus. My ultimate decision to leave was based on my own personal goals that did not include the retail industry, as well as district support for new managers in new/developing demographic areas."
What do you like about working at The Buckle?
"The amazing new product we get in freight each day. Coming up with new ways to style and merchandise."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Lots of big personalities that you work with on a daily basis. District and Corporate are the same."
What don't you like about working at The Buckle?
"It can be stressful when the manager always rushes you to complete tasks. Nothing gets done correctly when you are rushed. Lot's of micromanaging for no reason."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Shouldn't have teammates pay rate be based on commission. Guests typically get overwhelmed by aggressive sale tactics. We know that you are helping the guest by making sure they don't miss out on our coolest product, but we lose a lot of dollars on those people who won't step foot into a Buckle because of this. Also, many guests are overwhelmed by so much random product. Create an amazing retail environment, and participate more within social media,. This is huge and would make many negative opinions that people have towards Buckle change. Show strong sales tactics through online social media and websites, not in store."
"Great job if you love meeting new people, and you are a people person."
"Not a bad place to work, but no room for personality."
What do you like about working at The Buckle?
"I liked the freedom to put together outfits and really get to know my guests."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be fake, and they'll love you."
What don't you like about working at The Buckle?
"I didn't like the drama and the high school stuff. There is no point in trying to solve a problem or make it seem like there is another way out when you have already made up your mind about the other person without even hearing what they have to say first."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be more open minded, and allow the employees to actually have a voice."
