"Most things. They're generally unethical, poorly managed, and in general lousy to work for. Nobody trusts each other, and with good reason - most of them are stabbing each other in the back. The path to the top is by climbing the dead bodies of those you've slaughtered."

"I enjoy being around aircraft. Also, before the company was bought out by L-3 com : I liked the small-middle sized feel of the company. I wore allot of hats, and learned allot."

"Tell them your ready to work hard for long hours.Also, this is a good entry level position for new graduates."

What don't you like about working at TeleCommunication Systems?

"After it was bought out by L-3 com : The corporate mentality and lack of clear direction. Also, the senior engineer shortage. Meaning, lots of level 1 engineers with 2-5 experience, and only one level 3 electrical engineer, and no level 2 engineers in between. (Compensation for level 2 and 3 engineers was not enough to draw in new talent)"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Maintain open communication with the engineering department, and personally talk to your engineers more."

"I have worked at TCS for about 3 years now. The technologies are enjoyable to learn and work with. The Seattle area company is usually pretty lenient when it comes to work times and schedules. The last few years the projects and schedules have come so fast that the environment boarders on chaos. Burn out is a possibility."
