"If you aren't interested in working in a particular field, then don't exaggerate your skills in that field; otherwise, odds are they'll stick you in a position you don't really want."

"Recruiters seem more interested in making a placement than they do finding a good fit."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The economic situation dictates the market, so there is not much room for improvement. However, they might want to concentrate less on hiring sales-minded recruiters, and instead try to attract talent from the current workforce - someone who actually knows what employers are looking for."

What do you like about working at TEKsystems?

"Depending on what location you're in makes a difference. Recruiters make the difference. When I worked in FL, had no problems with them finding work for me, etc. Pleasant to work with, more like family atmosphere! Listened to your needs and tried to accommodate."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you need a job, yes, this is the place to go. If you need a career, read carefully. And ask a lot of questions. Will this be right for you?"

What don't you like about working at TEKsystems?

"Location. When I moved to NY, different atmosphere, more stress, recruiters didn't really give a bleep. Higher ups were stressing recruiters out to make a certain quota a month... BS."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management needs to really take a look at the end result and take into consideration the techs that are actually working at the sites. Yes, everyone needs a job, but if it's contract will they go perm. Give contract employees paid time off!!! Not some measly dinner once a year. We'd rather take the PAID TIME OFF."
