"I liked the technical aspect and working with clients and maintaining a business relationship while offering them a viable, integrated phone and data solution to meet their needs/objectives."

"I would advise any person interviewing with this company that they should look at the pros and cons. It's a Fortune 500 company that offers exceptional products and services and from an overall standpoint, it appears to be a great place to work. From a local level, there is not one seasoned representative working there. The average tenure was 6 months to 1 year throughout the office and State, this even transcended into executive and management positions."
What don't you like about working at TDS Telecom?
"The extremely high churn. In less than 6 months, my team had 3 managers supervising us and a period without any direct manager. With being new to this industry, we lacked support and fundamental resources."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Upper Management needs to be more involved with the entire MI Sales/Support Staff. They need to provide the right front and back end support so that everybody can effectively perform their job duties and responsibilities. They also need to have more of a team environment so that it's a conducive and productive place of business."

"Much of the time, the people doing the technical interviews are the least qualified, since the most qualified are busy with other things. They are asking questions from a sheet which they otherwise might not know the answer to. Don't be afraid to ask them technical questions as well. If you ask them questions they can't answer, they'll likely think you're really smart."
What don't you like about working at TDS Telecom?
"Management doesn't have a clue how to run an IT shop, and it's very obvious. The problem is that for every bad decision you manage to get corrected, they go and make two more. You get the feeling you're moving backwards. Things used to be a lot different."

"Hire a CTO from outside the company who knows how to turn things around. Fire the current CIO."
