What do you like about working at Tate & Lyle?

"Money. It is the only good thing about this company"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Tell potential employees that the shift is difficult and more time is spent at work than with family. The plant runs year round every day and lots of overtime is mandatory. There are very few opportunities for advancement unless you are an engineer. Make sure they understand that it is not a healthy work environment (physically or mentally)."

What don't you like about working at Tate & Lyle?

"The swing shift is horrible. There are very few promotional opportunities."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would allow the employees to vote on a shift schedule."

"Don't be afraid to have your Engineers talk to the workers and get their input. There is a lot of experience there that could help you design/improve a system."
