"I love the challenge of working on systems when debugging errors, especially when it is an error that I have not seen before. The sad part is that most of the time it becomes routine after a while, until you come across something new."

"Worst job ever"

What do you like about working at Schilling Robotics?

"The technology is very cool. In some cases it is more sophisticated than the space shuttle. The only difference is that their product goes into the ocean and not outer space."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Just say no! Run the opposite direction. I was told a lot of wonderful things about the company during the interview that never materialized. Many verbal promises will be made to you. Verbal promises at this company are worth nada. If you didn't run the opposite direction, see if you can get any promise they make in writing."

What don't you like about working at Schilling Robotics?

"The management does not care at all for their employees dignity or quality of life. The management team thinks themselves something wonderful and special, but they are only there to get as much as they can for themselves. There is profiling going on; if you don't fit their profile, don't expect to go very far within the company. Politics also has a great deal to do with who does and does not advance within the company, not necessarily competence or ability."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Managers: your employees are human just like you, even if you don't want to think so. Be professional. Treat your employees with dignity and respect, not just flowery words. Honor your promises or don't make them"

What do you like about working at Schilling Robotics?

"Very cool technology. In some cases it is more sophisticated than the space shuttle. The biggest difference is that their product goes into the ocean instead of outer space."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Just say no! Run the opposite direction and don't look back! You will be told a lot of wonderful things - that never seem to materialize. It was such a waste of time. Your miles may vary (I hope), but it was a big waste of time for me."

What don't you like about working at Schilling Robotics?

"Management could care less about their employees quality of life and dignity. They are only interested in what they can get for themselves. The truth seems to be relative to the moment. The managers will tell their employees anything they think they need to hear to keep getting what it is they wanted from them, regardless of whether it is true or not, with no intention on ever keeping any verbal promise. There is a lot of profiling going on. If you don't fit the profile, don't expect to advance within the company. Politics also has a big bearing on who will advance within the company, not necessarily competence or ability. Further, the compensation is very poor and if the management cant find a reason not to pay, they will make a reason."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would immediately lay off about six of the senior management team. The sum of which could rightfully be described as sociopaths. In their absence, the company could become a very good place to work. Managers that have precisely no moral compass, conscience or concern for their employees do not have a place managing anything."
