"Sysco is an excellent place to work for some positions, rather demanding for others. There is a requirement for 24/7 coverage in certain positions, which may require some adjustment for those used to a 40 hour work week. There is a lot of change happening at Sysco right now, therefore job stability is not a strong point for Sysco. Turnover in salaried positions is very high."
"Great company with great leadership. love it!"
"Sysco is a great place to work. This company provides awesome benefits with extra perks. Management and co-workers are both respectful and helpful. Occasional employee events help foster meaningful work relationships and the pay is very competitive."
"I worked in a fast-paced sales environment selling food and equipment to independent restaurants. I have strong relationship skills and am trainable in new working environments. I also used marketing tools to help make businesses successful."
"I worked with Sysco for 4 years. It was one of the most challenging places I had ever worked."
"It’s a union based job so your experience will be based on your contract"
"Strong company with high ethical standards and moral compass. Leader in the industry both nationally and globally"
"I have worked for Sysco for 6 years with some up and down bumps. Sysco is a great company to work for in the warehouse/distribution industry. They provide the best wages you'll find in warehousing along with great benefits, and if you find a location that is union then your benefits are paid for. The work, however, as an order selector is tough. It's definitely not for everyone as it's physically weary as much as it is mentally."
"I have worked with sysco since 2018. It is a great company to work with, with an excellent work environment but with few growth opportunities."
"Great compensation and growth opportunity. Poor quality of life."
"I'm working with sysco corporation and I find it to be one of the good companies we have in this country."
"I've worked at SYSCO since November 2018 until now, and it has been an interesting learning experience so far. This is my first major corporate position and that is where SYSCO truly shines as a globally known company. They are 100% corporate. Your normal work day is chock full of scheduled meetings, interviews, phone calls, reports, etc. If that is the type of culture you enjoy then by all means you should definitely give this place a go. If you are looking for a more relaxed vibrant fun company culture where co-workers speak to each other, I would look elsewhere."
"This company does not respect workers at all and managers and supervisors are always looking to blame someone for their mistakes. I just learned that our sister company just went union and we hope that my fellow drivers and the warehouse and distribution associates follow suit. Although expect the company to bring their goons and they have already arrived. 2 guys came in the other day to the plant and I call the union to inform them of these people arrival, our union know exactly who these individuals are and warned us to stay away from these rats, they are union busters and their only interest is to keep us confused and afraid. we already won West Palm, now let us bring South Miami home. I will keep you posted... Teamsters all the way!"
"I've only worked for sysco for three months and in that time I would rate my overall experience as average to good."
"Good company to work for to get global exposure and learning."
