"I loved working for this company and there's not one bad thing I can think of."

"Do not work here. Turnover is high because it is not a positive working environment! Several departments (finance and marketing, specifically) are facing impending layoffs in the next one to two years."

"I didn't approve of the treatment I received from managers and supervisors, the dingy working environment, outdated technology, incompetent management, low salary, lack of career growth opportunities, and low standards of design quality expected."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat your office workers equally to the treatment managers and supervisors were given. Do not talk down to workers because they make less money than you. Offer a flexible working schedule to all employees, not just management."

"The entire culture is project-based, with lots happening every day."

"Work hard, work smart, and it will get noticed. This is an improvement over my last company, and I really like it."

What don't you like about working at Sysco?

"I think there is a little too much time and effort spent playing the blame game when things go wrong. Other than that I really enjoy working on the project."

"I'm not sure. I would need more knowledge on operations to give a good answer."

"If you enjoy having management hang all over you wanting to know what, when, where, and how you are spending your sales day, by all means apply."

"Management wanted to micromanage. They spent too much time filling out reports, rather than selling the products and services we offered to our customers."

"Be available for suggestions, or help, but with the experienced reps out in the field, let them do their jobs without needing to know what they are doing by having to document each and every customer they see."

"The paycheck is pretty good... that's about the only thing that's good."

"Instead of going to the interview, hit yourself in the privates about ten times with a baseball bat. The end result is about the same."

"EVERYTHING. This company is full of greedy, self-centered liars. Please do not go work for this company if you value your family life at all."

"Quit. Just quit. And please, for the love of God, get rid of your four billion dollar software that doesn't work."

"This company does not respect workers at all and managers and supervisors are always looking to blame someone for their mistakes. I just learned that our sister company just went union and we hope that my fellow drivers and the warehouse and distribution associates follow suit. Although expect the company to bring their goons and they have already arrived. 2 guys came in the other day to the plant and I call the union to inform them of these people arrival, our union know exactly who these individuals are and warned us to stay away from these rats, they are union busters and their only interest is to keep us confused and afraid. we already won West Palm, now let us bring South Miami home. I will keep you posted... Teamsters all the way!"

"I've worked at SYSCO since November 2018 until now, and it has been an interesting learning experience so far. This is my first major corporate position and that is where SYSCO truly shines as a globally known company. They are 100% corporate. Your normal work day is chock full of scheduled meetings, interviews, phone calls, reports, etc. If that is the type of culture you enjoy then by all means you should definitely give this place a go. If you are looking for a more relaxed vibrant fun company culture where co-workers speak to each other, I would look elsewhere."
